Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information PsalmEdu collects, why we use it, how it is protected and the choices available to users.

Last updated: 25 September 2026
PsalmEdu respects the privacy of students and other users. We aim to collect only information reasonably required to provide, secure and improve our educational services.

1. Who this policy applies to

This Privacy Policy applies when you use PsalmEdu websites, examination practice tools, personalised timetable tools, course summaries, student accounts, payments and related services.

2. Information we may collect

Depending on the features you use, PsalmEdu may process information including:

  • your name, email address and account identifier;
  • phone number, institution, programme and location;
  • matriculation number, academic level, study centre or similar academic profile information where provided;
  • courses you register or save on PsalmEdu;
  • examination attempts, answers, scores, progress, corrections and study activity;
  • timetable course selections and generated schedules;
  • course-summary reading progress;
  • payment references, payment status, product purchased, amount and transaction metadata;
  • messages submitted through our support or contact services; and
  • technical information reasonably required for security, authentication, fraud prevention and service operation.

3. Payment information

PsalmEdu uses third-party payment processors such as Paystack. Payment-card and banking details entered on a Paystack checkout are handled by the payment processor. PsalmEdu normally receives transaction information such as the payment reference, amount, status, channel and confirmation needed to activate the purchased service.

We do not require users to send card numbers, PINs, banking passwords or one-time passwords to PsalmEdu support.

4. How we use information

We may use information to:

  • create and secure student accounts;
  • provide examination practice and preserve attempt progress;
  • provide registered-course, timetable and summary features;
  • verify payments and grant purchased access;
  • provide customer support;
  • detect misuse, fraud, security incidents and unauthorised access;
  • troubleshoot and improve PsalmEdu; and
  • comply with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

5. Authentication

PsalmEdu currently uses Clerk to provide authentication and account management. Authentication services may use essential cookies or session tokens to keep you signed in and to protect your account.

6. Hosting and infrastructure

PsalmEdu uses cloud infrastructure including Cloudflare services. Data may be processed or stored using cloud databases, object storage, content-delivery, security and networking services required to operate the platform.

7. Service providers

We may use trusted service providers to perform functions such as authentication, hosting, storage, security and payments. These providers process information according to their respective agreements, privacy terms and applicable law.

Current important providers include Clerk, Cloudflare and Paystack.

8. Cookies

Essential cookies and similar technologies may be required for authentication, security and core site functionality. If PsalmEdu later introduces optional advertising, analytics or other non-essential tracking, appropriate notices or consent controls will be provided where required.

9. Data retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain academic and transaction history, resolve disputes, prevent abuse and satisfy legal obligations. Different categories of data may have different retention periods.

10. Security

PsalmEdu uses reasonable technical and organisational safeguards intended to protect information against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or loss.

No online system can guarantee absolute security. Users should protect their account credentials and immediately report suspected unauthorised access.

11. Your privacy rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have rights relating to your personal information, including requesting access, correction, deletion or restriction, and objecting to certain processing.

Some information may need to be retained where required for legitimate security, transaction, dispute or legal purposes.

12. International processing

Some technology providers used by PsalmEdu operate infrastructure in multiple countries. Information may therefore be processed outside Nigeria where appropriate safeguards and applicable legal requirements apply.

13. Student and minor users

Users who are legally considered children should use the service with any parental or guardian involvement required by applicable law.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when PsalmEdu features, providers or legal requirements change. The latest version will be published on this page with its updated date.

15. Contact

Privacy questions, correction requests and other enquiries can be submitted through the PsalmEdu Contact page.
